The Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan film, Chandu Champion has shown a 40% jump in collection on its 2nd day as per early estimates. The Sajid Nadiadwala production has collected in the range of Rs. 7.25 crore to Rs. 7.75 crores on Saturday, taking total collections to Rs. 13 crores.
The Kartik Aaryan led sport drama will be looking at an opening weekend of Rs. 21 crore, and then take benefit of the holiday on Monday to set itself up for a long theatrical run at the box office. The critic reviews are outright positive and the same will soon start to reflect in the box office collections of Chandu Champion.
The jump on Saturday is an encouraging sign, however, the overall numbers so far still remain on the lower side. Every day is going to be a challenge for Chandu Champion and the film also needs to go on and on without surrendering until it hits the bulls-eye.
It has the benefit of 2-week free run and hopefully, this should push the film closer towards the Rs 100 crore club, like Satyaprem Ki Katha. The prices also went back to normal on Saturday and the same is reflecting in the collections too.
