Chandu Champion Box Office Estimate Day 1: Kartik Aaryan starrer opens at Rs. 5 crores on Friday; will jump on Saturday & Sunday

Chandu Champion has opened on the expected lines as this Kartik Aaryan-fronted Murlikant Petkar biopic has collected in the zone of Rs. 5 crores on the opening day. According to very early estimates, Chandu Champion has collected Rs. 4.80 to Rs. 5.20 crores on the opening day, and will be relying on the strong audience word of mouth to come into play over the weekend.

The film is doing the best business in the cities, with multiplex chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis – contributing significantly to the opening day business. Being a biopic, the treatment of the story is catering to the urban audience and the film will be aiming to fetch a new fanbase for Kartik Aaryan, as he has delivered his career-best act.

Chandu Champion will definitely show gains on Saturday as it has the merits to do well, and despite the relatively slower start, there is enough run at the box office to score healthy results. Chandu Champion is Kartik’s first film with Kabir Khan and has received unanimous positive talk from critics and cinema-goers on the day of its release.

Chandu Champion was released with flat pricing of Rs. 150 on Friday and there will be an automated jump in business on Saturday due to the price hike. In-fact, with regular pricing, the first-day business of Chandu Champion would have been closer to the Rs. 6.25 crore mark, which in today’s time stands to be the real value.
