Carry on Jatta 3 Box Office: Gippy Grewal starrer crosses Rs. 100 cr; emerges as first Punjabi film to enter the Rs. 100 cr club

The Punjabi film Carry on Jatta 3 starring Gippy Grewal and Sonam Bajwa, directed by the Smeep Kang, released on June 29, in 560 screens in India and in 500 locations in 30 more countries. The film received unanimous reviews for its light-hearted, fun filled content. After opening on a good note, the business of the film has been doing rather well and has maintained a stead rate of growth. Now, reports state that Carry on Jatta 3 has not only shattered records but has also emerged as the highest grossing Punjabi film of all-time manging to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark at the worldwide box office.

Interestingly, besides shattering box office records, Carry on Jatta 3 has also emerged as Gippy’s highest grossing release. While the first film of the franchise that released in 2012 had earned Rs. 18 cr, Carry on Jatta 2, released in 2018, earned around Rs. 60 cr worldwide. Now with the third instalment far overshadowing the previous releases trade is buzzing with possibilities of the film continuing its successful run. Talking about the box office collection, actor producer Gippy Grewal said, “We are immensely grateful for all messages and appreciation coming from around the globe. I am thankful to the audiences, It’s the viewers who make us capable of creating history. And touching 100 Cr makes us more strong for upcoming films.” Producer Ravneet Kaur Grewal added, “ uch success motivates us to uplift our industry further, its the beginning of more such good films for sure and we look forward to it”

In fact, Carry on Jatta 3 continues to run in theatres and is more than likely to see its business growth even further.
