Box Office: Bad Newz grosses Rs. 100 crores at the worldwide box office

Filmmaker Anand Tiwari’s out-and-out comedy Bad Newz made heads turn with its announcement posters itself featuring the lead actors Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. And once the trailer was out, it instantly created a buzz with its out-of-the-box theme of heteropaternal superfecundation. For the unversed, it means a woman being pregnant with twins from different fathers.

Apart from appreciation, Bad Newz has also performed well at the box office, not only in India but also outside, considering its bold theme. The film has now reached the Rs. 100 crores mark as far as worldwide gross is concerned. It has entered the three-figure mark today and its grand total currently stands at Rs. 100.28 crores. The India gross number of the movie currently is Rs. 66.79 crores.

By taking a plunge into the three-figure territory, Bad Newz has become the eighth Bollywood movie of 2024 to enter the Rs. 100 crores mark worldwide. The other seven movies include, Fighter, Shaitaan, Crew, Article 370, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Kalki 2898 AD.

Bad Newz is the spiritual sequel to the 2019 hit Good Newwz. Directed by Raj Mehta, it starred Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ammy Virk and Kiara Advani.
