Box Office: 12th Fail passes, now heading for a distinction – Tuesday updates

With Rs. 1.65 crores more coming on Tuesday, 12th Fail has already passed with a first division score. Now looking at the kind of trajectory that it’s following, it seems quite possible that eventually the film will pass with a distinction score too.

It’s all going good for this well-made film that opened well at Rs. 1.10 crores and from there on has been seeing an upwards journey. While Monday too did quite well with collections almost 50% more as Rs. 1.50 crores came in, Tuesday is even better as the collections have further gained momentum. There is no partial holiday or other occasion either and still the film is finding greater footfalls on a daily basis now. Looking at this trending, today too would be quite good and at least Rs. 1.50 crores will certainly come. A bit of a drop may come since it’s Karvachauth today but outside that factor, the film has been accepted well by the target audience.

The Vidhu Vinod Chopra directed film has now accumulated Rs. 9.85 crores and while now it’s a given that Rs. 13 crores mark too would be crossed by the close of week, there is this while open week ahead of it. This means by the close of second week, even Rs. 25 crores mark would be completely accomplished. The lifetime of 12th Fail can go anywhere now and it’s on way to be a clean hit.
