Boney Kapoor recalls sharing post featuring Javed Akhtar with a witty caption about hair; says doctors assured him of better hair than Anil Kapoor: “I’m going to challenge them to make my hair better than Arjun Kapoor’s”

Producer Boney Kapoor recently opened up about his hair transplant journey during a press conference in Mumbai. The veteran filmmaker, who underwent the procedure earlier this year, shared his experience of regaining hair and how it has boosted his confidence.

Speaking about his decision to go for a hair transplant, Boney Kapoor said, “I had no hair. I had posted on Instagram that Javed (Akhtar) saab is 78 and hasn’t lost any hair, while I am 68 and have lost it all.”

The Instagram post caught the attention of doctors, who assured him that his results would be even better than those of Javed Akhtar. “These doctors messaged me saying, ‘You’ll have better hair than Javed saab.’ I asked if it would be better than Anil’s (Kapoor), and they said, ‘Yes, it will be.’”

The humorous exchange didn’t stop there as Boney added that he is now setting a new challenge for the doctors. “Now, I’m going to challenge them to make my hair better than Arjun’s (Kapoor). Arjun’s forehead is completely full of hair. The doctors will have to accept this challenge,” he quipped. The playful remarks about his younger brother Anil Kapoor and son Arjun Kapoor added a lighthearted touch to the discussion. Interestingly, Anil is known for his thick hair and youthful looks.

In addition, the press conference was also attended by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 director Anees Bazmee. For the unversed, he also recently went for a hair transplant from the same doctor.
