At a recent star-studded Bollywood Hungama India Entertainment Awards 2024 in Mumbai, actor and host Maniesh Paul demonstrated his gentlemanly demeanour when actress Mahira Sharma experienced an unexpected fall on stage. Mahira, who was elegantly dressed in a flowing gown, stumbled as she approached the stage to present an award to Maniesh.
In a moment that could have been awkward, Mahira handled herself with remarkable poise, quickly regaining her composure. Maniesh, known for his quick wit and charm, took the opportunity to commend her during his acceptance speech.
“Yeh girna wirna chalta rehta hai. But jitna gracefully tumne uske baad apne aap ko handle kiya hai, trust me agar main tumhari jagah hota toh shayad ro padta,” Maniesh said, his words filled with genuine admiration. His light-hearted comment not only eased the tension but also drew cheers and applause from the audience.
Maniesh further highlighted the difficulty of walking in a gown, acknowledging the challenges that come with such attire, turning the moment into one of support and solidarity. The audience’s reaction was overwhelmingly positive, with many applauding both Mahira’s grace under pressure and Maniesh’s supportive words.
