Bold and the Beautiful raised Eric Forrester from the dead just in the nick of time for… what? The CBS soap resurrected the guy who now sits home with babysitter Donna Logan, and he can’t even have a martini. So, where’s the quality of life for the Forrester patriarch?

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: What to Do with Eric Forrester?

Eric Forrester (John McCook) still recuperates at home after an ordeal with an unknown fatal illness. Finn operated on Eric, which entailed transplanting something. Then Dr. John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) finished his miracle cure with some kind of new treatment.

After much drama, tears, and reminiscing, Eric survived. Now it seems like Bold and the Beautiful doesn’t know what to do with him. Except prop him up for visitors.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers promised a change in Eric Forrester once he recuperated from his illness. But so far the change is rather sad, as the man is alive but life as he knows it passes him by.

B&B Spoilers: Prepping Another Last Hurrah for Eric?

So far, all Bold and Beautiful has done with Eric is supply an ongoing tribute to him. Every once in a while he’ll get visitors who rehash their love for him and how happy they are that he was saved.

B&B throws in a couple of props to remind the viewers that Eric is still on the mend. Donna Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) hands him pineapple juice, but he’s hankering for a martini. Then there’s a bowl of fresh fruit plopped on the coffee table in front of him. That suggests, she’s keeping him on a healthy track.

So Bold and the Beautiful has the scenery correct, but where will they go from here? We’ve listened to Donna’s words of love to the point of it starting to sound a bit sappy. But is this the soap’s way of setting up another storyline for Eric Forrester?

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Places to Take the Forrester Patriarch?

Tributes from his family and friends are warranted, after all, Eric Forrester is back from a death sentence on Bold and the Beautiful. But the soap will need to do something else with Eric sooner rather than later. Since the spoilers suggested a change for Eric, what would that look like?

• Right now, it’s hard to imagine the patriarch of the Forresters with enough energy to do much of anything. Although that could change, maybe he decides to take the opportunity of a second chance at life to share his wealth a bit with those in need. So turning him into a philanthropist is one interesting way to give him more screen time. Especially if you mix family members in who start to worry he’s giving away the family fortune.
• From what Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) said to her son Finn a while back, he made medical history with Eric’s treatment. So, maybe Eric becomes the man of the hour for all those TV medical talk shows. He and Donna can pack up the pineapple juice and follow Finn around to the different venues where he lectures on this miracle cure for Eric… maybe he even names the procedure after the Forrester patriarch.

Holy Matrimony, Flannels, or Farewell…

• What if Honey Bear marries Donna on Bold and the Beautiful? Romantic, yes, but this would only prolong this gushing over him which seems to go nowhere.
• Being home has put a lot of new thoughts in the FC founder’s head about comfort. While those gowns he’s created are works of art, maybe Eric sees a need to now dress the average person without the lace and sparkle. So, he could argue with his family to start a line of comfy clothes, like flannel PJs.
• John McCook has to be approaching a time when he’s thinking about retirement. So, maybe Eric Forrester’s cure turns out to be short-lived, which allows John to make his exit from the CBS soap.

When it boils down to it, Eric Forrester has done so much since Bold and the Beautiful first rolled out many years ago. It has to be hard for the writers to spin another storyline for the new resurrection version of this icon. So, where Eric Forrester goes from here on the CBS soap is anybody’s guess today.
