Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Box Office: Horror-comedy becomes Vidya Balan’s highest opener

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the second film in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise, not only turned out to be a surprise success but also one of the biggest hits of 2022. Hence, there were major expectations from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, both in terms of content and the box office. It seems that the film has won over both the aspects. The is seen in its opening, which has turned out to be a mammoth Rs. 36.60 crores, despite clashing with the big multi-starrer Singham Again.

The horror-comedy is also the highest opener for the film’s cast member Vidya Balan. Before Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, her highest opener was Mission Mangal, which opened at an impressive number of Rs. 29.16 crores. The film also starred Akshay Kumar in a pivotal role.

The third film in the list is The Dirty Picture with Rs. 9.54 crore. As the film released back in 2011, there is a major gap between its opening day number and that of Mission Mangal, which released in 2019. The fourth and fifth positions in the list are bagged by Ghanchakkar and Shaadi Ke Side Effects with Rs. 7.2 crores and Rs. 5.70 crores respectively.

With the positive word-of-mouth coming in for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, it is expected to be a major success at the box office. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film also stars Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit Nene.
