Bhaiyya Ji Box Office: Film keeps audiences coming at the single screens and small centres – Saturday updates

Last few weeks had seen quite a few films manage some sort of audiences on the basis of select multiplex screens at major cities. While Srikanth has done the best of the lot, films like 12th Fail, Madgaon Express, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar and Laapata Ladies managed to not just cover costs but also add some more. These films didn’t really have much to do in the interiors or single screens but amongst the elite they did better.

Now Bhaiyaaji is doing something exactly opposite, what with patronage being found at the single screens and in the hinterland, instead of multiplexes patronising it. This also means that even though the footfalls are more, the collections are relatively lesser since at the single screens or multiplexes at the interiors, the ticket prices are at least half of that of urban centres, or even lesser.

This puts things in perspective for the Saturday numbers which have come out to be Rs. 2.01 crores. Considering the fact that this is a Manoj Bajpayee solo, the numbers are fair enough and promise another stable day on Sunday. The collections wouldn’t be huge today since there is an IPL match in the evening. However, one just hopes that the hold tomorrow is very strong so that Bhaiyaaji can build well over Rs. 3.45 crores that it has collected so far.
