After receiving widespread acclaim for her role in the family entertainer Yaatris, released last October, Chahatt Khanna is eager to explore new horizons. While her name resonates deeply within the television industry, she took a deliberate hiatus to prioritize other facets of her life. Motherhood beckoned, and her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish her clothing line, Ammarzo. Now, with a rejuvenated spirit and passion for acting, Chahatt is back in the game, ready to grace screens big and small.
For Chahatt, the medium of acting holds no bounds. She states, “Whether it’s television, OTT, or regional cinema, I am open to exploring all avenues. As an artist, I believe in the universality of talent, and I don’t differentiate between platforms.” However, she fondly reminisces about her roots, saying, “Television has always been my comfort zone. The familiar aroma of ‘set ki coffee’ makes me feel right at home.”
With Yaatris, Chahatt finds herself inundated with offers. She reveals, “Post Yaatris, I’ve received numerous main lead offers for prominent shows. I’m on the brink of finalizing a television project, and I’m excited about the possibilities.” As for her preferred genres, Chahatt remains open-minded, expressing her enthusiasm for mature love stories, realistic daily soaps, and even non-fiction formats.
Reflecting on the changing landscape of the television industry, Chahatt observes, “The industry has evolved immensely. While I see many new faces and talents emerging, actors from my era still resonate with audiences. Many have transitioned into influential producers, signalling a positive shift in the industry dynamics.”
Beyond television, Chahatt’s love for cinema remains unwavering. She shares, “Films hold a special place in my heart. They captivate our emotions, bringing spice and passion into our lives. I aspire to contribute to this magical world of cinema shortly.”
