The Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk led Bad Newz has taken a very good start at the box office in India. According to early estimates, the Karan Johar produced comic caper has collected in the range of Rs. 8.50 crores to 9.50 crores on the opening day.
The film has done well in the urban centers whereas the single screens were not up to the mark. Nonetheless, this is a very good opening for Bad Newz and the film is now on track to hit Rs. 35 crore in the opening weekend.
The early reports and critic reviews are on the positive side and this should result in a prolonged theatrical trend in India. Bad Newz has indeed given a good news for everyone in the industry and is poised to emerge a hit in the long run. The film will see a spike in collections on Saturday and then another jump on Sunday, which is a sign of an accepted film.
Bad Newz has emerged as the biggest opener for Vicky Kaushal surpassing URI – The Surgical Strike.
