The film’s opening weekend collections are higher than those of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Article 370, Chandu Champion, and Munjya, all of which have had a significant presence in the market.
Notably, Bad Newz has not outperformed Crew, which had a higher pre-release buzz and a bigger star cast. The film’s success can be attributed to its engaging storyline, crisp direction, and memorable performances by its cast members. In comparison to other releases of 2024, Bad Newz ranks sixth in terms of opening weekend collections. While it may not have shattered any box office records, the film’s steady performance is a testament to its appeal and the audience’s appreciation.
Currently with strong word-of-mouth and positive reviews, Bad Newz is expected to continue its successful run in the coming weeks. In fact, trade predictions state that the business of the film is more than likely to hold stable over the ensuing weekday, seeing a spike towards the second weekend.
