Ayushmann Khurrana, who recently walked away with an award for his comedy entertainer Dream Girl 2, was thrilled to host a special evening dedicated to English songwriter-singer Ed Sheeran. The latter recently made a quick visit to the country wherein the he received a warm welcome from the Bollywood actor in quintessential Indian style, which also included a wide spread of traditional cuisines and handmade Pinnis from Ayushmann’s mother.
We hear that Ayushmann Khurrana was keen on representing India and its beautiful culture when he hosted Ed Sheeran. In true Athithi Devo Bhava tradition, the actor wanted to show how Indians welcome guests in the country in traditional manner. It is being said that Ed Sheeran, who is in town for his tour, was deeply appreciative of this warm gesture from Ayushmann. The Bollywood actor took to social media to share a fond memory from this meetup wherein he shared a photo which looks a polaroid print of the two of them coming together. He captioned it saying, “A Polaroid keepsake from my time with Ed, Great meeting you”.

Further, speaking about it, Ayushmann shared, “I have admired Ed Sheeran as an artiste for years now. As a fellow musician, I have always wanted to connect with him and discuss how his mind works. I surprised him with my mother’s homemade Pinni! This is how we have always welcomed anyone at our home. Ed is in India, our country, to entertain us. He is at our home and we need to tell him how much we love him and his music too. So, I hope this gift will be a memorable one!”
Interestingly, Ayushmann Khurrana too is passionate about music and has also launched his own albums and has even done playback singing for some of his movies. His songs like ‘Paani Da Rang’ and ‘Saddi Galli Aaja’ have also gone to become chartbusters.
