Janhvi Kapoor has left many surprised with her intriguing avatar in the recently released teaser of her next titled Ulajh. Bringing her with a male-dominated star cast which includes the likes of Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Matthews, Sachin Khedekar, among others, the film will see her essaying the role of an IFS officer. The teaser, which presents glimpses of a grave conspiracy Janhvi’s character Suhana gets involved in, seems to have won hearts which not only includes her brother Arjun Kapoor and boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya, but also her colleagues like Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
For the first time, Janhvi Kapoor will be seen in such a different role in the upcoming suspense-thriller. The teaser not only reveals how Janhvi Kapoor bravely tries to clear her name from a conspiracy which drags her into the murky world of crime and corruption but also features a powerful monologue by Gulshan Devaiah where he describes concepts of patriotism and loyalty. Arjun Kapoor, who came across the teaser clip, decided to showcase his appreciation and gushed about his sister’s performance in his recent post on Instagram story wherein he shared the teaser clip saying, “Teaser hi itna intriguing hai toh film (if the teaser is so intriguing then the film)(multiple emojis)”.
Apart from him, Janhvi’s boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya added multiple emojis on his story showering love on the actress and showcasing his pride. Janhvi’s co-star from their upcoming film Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, Rajkummar Rao also encouraged the actress stating, “Looks fab Mrs. Mahi. Looking forward to #Ulajh”. Samantha Ruth Prabhu too expressed her excitement for the movie and added, “Outstanding this looks (hug emoji) More power to you @janhvikapoor”.
For the unversed, Ulajh also stars Rajesh Tailang, Rajendra Gupta, Sachin Khedekar, Adil Hussain, among others in key roles. Directed by Sudhanshu Suria, the film is slated to release on July 5.
