Anurag Kashyap lauds Kangana Ranaut as “one of the finest actors”; says, “You can’t snatch her talent away from her”

In a recent interview, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap showered praises on how talented Kangana Ranaut is as an actor. Ranaut who played the titular character in the 2014 coming-of-age film Queen, had Anurag Kashyap as one of the producers.

When the question about the experience of working with Ranaut was posed to Kashyap, he was quick to observe that, “She is one of the finest actors. She is extremely sincere about her work. You can’t snatch her talent away from her. What she has as an actor and as a sincere creative person you can’t take that away from her.”

Queen was a runaway success and established the fact that Kangana Ranaut was an actor par excellence and an actress who had box office clout. She had broken every stereotype that is associated with the leading lady in Hindi cinema. In her career, the actress has delivered some of the most author-backed and nuanced performances that bear testament to the fact that she is not just versatile actress but a powerhouse of talent who has achieved success on her own terms. Having built her career with films which were mounted on her star value and merit as an actor.

Meanwhile, coming to the film front, Kangana was last seen in Dhaakad, which also featured Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta. The film performed poorly at the box office. Currently, Ranaut is awaiting the release of her next film, which is also her second directorial venture, Emergency. Based on the 1975 Indian Emergency, the ensemble star cast also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry and Milind Soman in pivotal roles. It was slated to release on October 20. However, to avoid a clash with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s Ganapath, Kangana cancelled the release. Ranaut has said that she will announce the release date a month prior along with its trailer in a tweet.
