When organizer Manish Harishankar suggested featuring Bollywood actresses like Tamannaah Bhatia or Nora Fatehi as guest performers, Anup Jalota, Shankar Mahadevan, and Hariharan firmly declined. The singers emphasized that ‘Triveni’s’ essence lies in showcasing the depth and grandeur of Indian music. They argued that adding Bollywood guests would distract from the concert’s artistic vision.
Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, and Anup Jalota stated that if a guest appearance were to be included, it should be by a fellow singer who aligns with the event’s spirit, rather than an actress. Their goal is to elevate Indian music, offering audiences a unique experience.
