Animal Box Office: Ranbir Kapoor starrer likely to become the 1st movie to clock Rs. 100 cr. in the second weekend

The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial Animal which hit screens last week on Friday has proved to be unstoppable. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna the film which came with immense hype and expectations started on a thunderous note and continued to see business growth well into its first week. Now, after blowing past the Rs. 100 cr, Rs. 200 cr, and even Rs. 300 cr. mark at the domestic box office, the business of Animal is all set on establishing a new record.

Given the current trend, Animal that has managed to rake in Rs. 338.63 cr. over its first week, is expected to see its business spike over its second weekend. In fact, it will come as no surprise if Animal emerges as the first movie to clock Rs. 100 cr. on its second weekend. In such a case, with the business of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer clocking Rs. 100 cr. on its second weekend, Animal will emerge as the all-time highest second-weekend grosser surpassing previous releases like Gadar 2 which collected Rs. 90.47 cr, Jawan that collected Rs. 88.66 cr, Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion which collected Rs. 80.75 cr, and a host of other releases.

Currently, Animal which continues to enjoy the audiences’ favour looks set to enjoy yet another money-spinning weekend. Based on trends trade predictions paint a highly optimistic future stating that Animal could easily emerge as one of the biggest money-spinners of the year.
