Ranbir Kapoor is all set to woo audiences in an action-packed avatar in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directed Animal. The makers opened its advance booking on Friday morning and the response has been incredible. Within a day of the counters opening up, Animal has sold over 50,000 tickets in the three national chains – PVR, Inox & Cinepolis.
This is one the biggest responses for a feature film in the post-pandemic world alongside the likes of Brahmastra and Tiger 3. The film is outselling the 2023 blockbuster, Gadar 2, in terms of pacing in advance booking. On the first day of tickets going live for sale, Brahmastra sold 30,000 tickets in national chains, and Tiger 3 sold 53,000 tickets. Animal that was expected to see sales of around 45,000 tickets has surpassed expectations by managing to sell 52,500 tickets across national multiplex chains alone.
In fact, early trends of Animal in terms of advance booking indicate one of the biggest openings of all time in the history of Indian Cinema, especially for a non-holiday release. As per reports, Animal has seen sales of 43,000 tickets across the PVR Cinemas chain and a further 9,500 from Cinepolis.
Based on the wide rate of advance bookings the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is expected to take a roaring start at the box office. In fact, advance trade predictions indicate a money-spinning opening day and opening weekend.
