Alia Bhatt speaks fondly about working with stalwarts such as Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are currently keeping busy with the promotions of their upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. In a recent interview, Alia Bhatt shared her awe and admiration for the legendary actors Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan she had the privilege of sharing the screen with in her upcoming film. Alia expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside these iconic figures, learn from them, and be inspired by their sheer talent and professionalism.

Alia said, “Honestly, we feel very honoured and privileged that we got an opportunity to share screen space with them, to do scenes with them. There was so much to learn, so much to gather from just the way they behave, the way they act and they’re so different from one another.”

Talking about Shabana Azmi, Alia said, “Shabana Ji is like, we discussed this all the time she’s like water, she keeps flowing and you won’t even realise when she enters and shifts from one emotion to another. She is just a masterclass.”

Further laudingJaya Bachchan, Alia shared, “I am very much impressed with Jaya Ji. She was a bomber. She is very fun; I would say naughty. She’s always pulling the AD’s legs on set, cracks jokes, pull Ranveer’s leg. Buthat impressed me the most was that in between the takes when she thinks that the time is very less and we have to wrap things up fast, she wouldn’t sit in between the takes. Everyone would take a chair, even I would sit down, but Jaya ji would stand on her mark. She wouldn’t move because she knew that time is getting wasted and she wants to get done with work faster.”

Talking about Dharmendra, Alia stated, “Dharam Ji is outstanding. He is like a child. He is very passionate about his work and used to do his homework. It’s a blessing and we feel so blessed to have our work with them.”

Coming back to the film, directed by Karan Johar, Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani features a stellar ensemble cast, including Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in prominent roles. The highly anticipated film is set to hit theaters on July 28, creating a buzz among fans and cinephiles.
