Alia Bhatt opens up on her second production Jigra; says, “As producer I want to tell stories that evoke emotions and leave an impact”

Alia Bhatt has been impressing audiences since the first time she graced screens. In a compelling move towards furthering her creative journey, the actress announced her production house Eternal Sunshine in 2021.

The overwhelming response to her first production, Darlings, left her as well as audiences exhilarated. And now, just a little over a year later, Alia Bhatt unveiled her second production, Jigra in association with Dharma Productions to be directed by Vasan Bala.

Talking about the same, Alia said, “I believe stories are everywhere, and stories are everything! I turned producer with Eternal Sunshine to tell some of these stories, ones that evoke emotions and leave an impact. Our first production, Darlings, got so much love that it was exciting and overwhelming at the same time. And just a little over a year later, we are ready to launch our second production – Jigra, a beautiful story of courage, passion and determination. I hope to consistently support compelling narratives that are authentic, and enduringly timeless and work with brilliant creative minds to bring them alive.”

Apart from this, on the work front, Alia Bhatt was recently seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani alongside Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film released in theatres on July 28, 2023, and received rave reviews from critics. She was also seen in her Hollywood debut Heart of Stones. In her pipeline, she has director Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
