Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt bagged the prestigious National Award for her exceptional performance in the critically acclaimed film Gangubai Kathiawadi. The 69th National Film Awards ceremony, held yesterday, celebrated the best of Indian cinema, and Alia’s triumph was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the evening. With her remarkable portrayal of the fierce and indomitable Gangubai, she has not only won the hearts of millions but has also garnered well-deserved recognition from the country’s most esteemed film award.
At the 69th National Film Awards, Alia Bhatt, the current queen of Indian cinema, made an exquisite yet daring statement. The accomplished actress, who most recently stunned audiences with her outstanding performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi, surprised everyone by deciding to don her bridal attire once more for the prestigious occasion. Even if it is uncommon for a bridal attire to be worn again after the wedding, it is still unusual to witness a celebrity wearing the same clothing more than once. The stunning Alia was photographed yesterday evening wearing a stunning white and gold Sabyasachi saree and holding a veil. For the uninitiated, the saree is paired with a half-sleeved blouse and hand-dyed and hand-embroidered with tilla work.
This time, she accessorised her saree with matching stud earrings and a multi-layered pearl choker, both by Sabyasachi. Bhatt chose a loose, voluminous French bun with a back-hair roll in contrast to her wedding, where she opted for open tresses, and she accessorised with white roses. The simple desi glam makeup by famous makeup artist Mickey Contractor featured kohl-rimmed eyes, sculpted brows, bare lips, and a crimson bindi to finish the look.
