Alia Bhatt gift Sania Mirza’s son Izhaan her self-published book with heartfelt letter

Alia Bhatt has launched her first children’s picture book, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her storytelling career. She said that she is working on a full series of novels. Alia released the first book in the series, Ed Finds A Home, earlier this month through her children’s clothing line Ed-a-Mamma. Now, the actress has given the book to Sania Mirza’s son Izhaan and written a message to him.

The letter read, “Dear Izhaan, I want you to meet Ed-a-Mamma – a little girl and her dog, off on a bunch of super exciting adventures. Just like you, they are Children of Mother Earth and are on a mission to protect her from harm.

She added, “When I was growing up, I loved listening to my grandpa’s stories. “And now here I am, sharing stories of my own, for all mini-planeteers.”

“I hope that this first story brings you as much joy as it has brought me and inspires you to be kind to every kind. Let the Ed-ventures begin! Love, Alia.”

Sania Mirza shared an image of the letter on her Instagram account.

Earlier, Alia talked details about the book and shared, “A new adventure begins (sun emoji) Ed finds a Home is just the beginning of a new series of books from the universe of Ed-a-mamma. My childhood was full of storytelling and storytellers .. and one day I had a dream to bring out that child in me and put it into books for children.. I am so grateful to my fellow storytellers, Vivek Kamath, @shabnamminwalla and @tanvibhat.draws, who with their wonderful ideas, inputs and imagination helped bring our first book to life. Fingers crossed for this journey ahead.”

On Sunday, she attended the Storyverse – Children’s Lit Fest in Mumbai to promote her book. Alia was accompanied by her mother Soni Razdan and sister Shaheen Bhatt to the ceremony. Alia looked stunning in a sleeveless, floral-printed maxi dress. During the occasion, she took part in a reading session in which Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, and Alia read extracts from the book. After the reading, Alia interacted with young admirers and gathered their feedback. A viral video from the event shows Alia introducing the audience to the book’s key characters.
