Alia Bhatt excited to reunite with Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Love & War: “Excitement with the film and the material is most important”

Alia Bhatt is a force to be reckoned with in Bollywood. The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress recently shared exciting updates on her upcoming projects. Having recently launched her own clothing line and production company, and becoming a published author with her children’s book “Ed Finds A Home,” Bhatt continues to impress with her diverse endeavours. Following the fantasy epic Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva alongside her husband Ranbir Kapoor, she’s already looking forward to her next project. This time, she’s reuniting with not just Ranbir, but also Vicky Kaushal, in the highly anticipated Love & War by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

In a recent interview with News18, Alia’s excitement for the project was palpable. She spoke about the “layers to look forward to,” highlighting multiple aspects that make Love & War a unique opportunity. First and foremost, she expressed her admiration for working with Bhansali again. “There are so many layers to look forward to that I am not sure which one to pick. I think, first and foremost the pleasure of working with Sanjay sir once again and the honour I would say because under his guidance and gears, you flourish is step number one. You can go anywhere with it just because of his attention to detail and his attention to you,” she added, emphasizing the growth actors experience under Bhansali’s vision.

She revealed a personal thrill about witnessing Ranbir Kapoor reunite with Bhansali on screen. “I as an audience am so excited to see him and Ranbir collaborate together after so many years. I am like ‘Wow’. And then Vicky and I coming together again and then Ranbir and Vicky, they have created magic with Sanju. So it’s a lot of combinations, but of course, at the end of the day, the intention is to just keep your head down and work hard and not get the other excitement come in between, because the excitement with the film and the material is most important. And when you are on set, you just have to give your 110%.,” she confessed.

Ranbir Kapoor made his debut in the industry with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, worked with him on Gangubai Kathiawadi. On the other hand, both Ranbir and Vicky Kaushal have worked together on Sanju whereas Vicky has shared screen with Alia Bhatt in Raazi.

The film’s title, Love & War, hints at a complex narrative that could explore the intricacies of human relationships against a backdrop of historical conflict. The film is slated for Christmas 2025 release.
