Akshay Kumar shares hilarious Friendship Day celebration video; sings and dances to ‘Kya hua tera wada’ with friends

On Friendship Day 2023, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram account to share a delightful and amusing clip, giving his fans a glimpse of his fun-filled celebration with his close-knit group of friends. The video captured the essence of friendship and nostalgia as the gang recreated the magic of the retro iconic track ‘Kya Hua Tera Wada’, originally sung by Mohammed Rafi and Sushma Shrestha for the 1977 blockbuster Hum Kisise Kum Naheen directed by Nasir Hussain.

In the heartwarming video, Akshay and his friends were seen holding various household items, infusing the surroundings with laughter and joy. The camaraderie among the friends was evident as they sang and danced to the timeless melody, creating an atmosphere of pure bliss. Akshay Kumar looked stylish and suave, donning an all-black ensemble as he held a mop in his hands, showcasing his unique and humorous dance moves to the classic tune ‘Kya Hua Tera Wada’. Joining in the fun, Akshay’s friend Rahul was seen sporting cool look, donning zipper and black trousers. Holding a blue gym ball, Rahul matched Akshay’s energy and enthusiasm, making the moment even more entertaining and lively. Sharing the video, Akshay wrote in caption, “Nothing beats having fun with friends… No matter what age or stage, my friends bring out the inner child in me. May God bless everyone with the joy of friendship. #FriendshipDay.”

On the professional front, Akshay Kumar has an exciting lineup of films in store for his fans. One of his highly anticipated projects is the satirical comedy OMG 2, which serves as a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster OMG – Oh My God! The film, directed by Amit Rai, also features a talented ensemble cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam, Pavan Malhotra, Govind Namdev, and Arun Govil in significant roles. Scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on August 11, OMG 2 is set to clash at the box office with Gadar 2. Akshay Kumar has three more exciting projects lined up for release. Including The Great Indian Rescue, which is based on the life of mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, hitting theatres on October 5. Next, fans can look forward to the Hindi remake of the critically-acclaimed Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, slated to release on February 16 of the following year. Lastly, Akshay will be seen in the action-packed film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, scheduled to grace the screens on the occasion of Eid in 2024.
