The much-anticipated film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, is gearing up for its release on July 5, 2024. The makers recently launched the film’s trailer, generating excitement among fans of the veteran actors and director Neeraj Pandey. During the trailer launch event, Ajay Devgn admitted that he was apprehensive about Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’s box-office performance before signing the film.

Interestingly, Ajay Devgn, known for his action-hero persona, expressed initial apprehension about the film’s commercial prospects. “When Neeraj had narrated the script to me, I loved it,” Devgn said. “But before giving my nod I remember telling him that the story is great but I’m not sure about the box office. But he asked me to not worry about it and said he’ll handle it, and thus, I said yes to the film.”

Devgn also spoke about the importance of taking creative risks in cinema. “The doubt whether a film will work financially or not is always there,” he stated. “But it’s important that we go against the trend and do something different. I’ve been doing it since the time no one else would do it, and the things I learnt back then help me a lot to this day,” he added further.

At the trailer launch event, director Neeraj Pandey revealed a hidden desire. “The first film that I wanted to make 16 years ago was a love story, but unfortunately, no producer supported me back then. But I’m happy that after 16 years I can finally make a love story and that too with such a stellar cast,” he shared.

Beyond Devgn and Tabu, the film features Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar. The film’s music is composed by the Oscar-winning A. R. Rahman.
