The Indian entertainment scene is abuzz with excitement over Jio Cinema’s upcoming film, And You. This highly anticipated movie, set to be filmed in Mumbai and available on the Jio app, is directed by Shaikh Farid, a well-regarded figure in the digital cinema realm known for his work with Jio and Hotstar OTT platforms. The production is helmed by Sweta Jyotii and Vani Mohta under Mohta Media Co, alongside Suraj Singh Mas of Suraj Singh Mas Films, bringing together a formidable creative team.
Abhiishek Mohta, a prominent figure in Indian television, will play a crucial role in And You. Mohta, celebrated as one of the top 10 casting directors in Indian television, has a distinguished career featuring projects such as Colors TV’s mythological series Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran and Amazon Prime’s The Terminal List. His contributions to Crime Patrol 2.0, along with his roles as Creative Head and in-house Casting Director at Saffron Broadcast and Media Limited, further underscore his expertise. Mohta’s collaborations extend to OML Entertainment, ALTBalaji’s Blackwoodz, and &TV’s Baal Shiv. In Bollywood, he has been part of the team behind Veere Di Wedding and is currently working on the upcoming movie Fauji, in addition to numerous TVC advertisements with popular celebrities.
Aside from his behind-the-scenes roles, Mohta has also displayed his acting talent in music videos like ‘Pyar Mein Tere Dooba Raha’ with model Riya Chaudhary and ‘Tu Hai Wahi’ featuring Punjabi actress Shezali Sharma.
Ahsaas Channa, a well-known actress in the Hindi film and TV industry, joins Mohta in And You. Born on August 5, 1999, Channa started her career as a child actress with notable roles in films such as Vaastu Shastra, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, My Friend Ganesha, and Phoonk. As a teenager, she gained fame through television shows like Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, Oye Jassie, and MTV’s Fanaah. Her recent work in web series like Hostel Daze, Kota Factory, and Girls Hostel has solidified her reputation as a versatile actress.
The collaboration between Channa and Mohta in And You, directed by Farid, is highly anticipated by fans and is expected to offer a memorable cinematic experience. With its talented cast and crew, this Jio Cinema film is poised to make a significant impact upon its release.
