After being ousted from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Pratiksha Honmukhe joins Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye: “I’m playing Virat’s ex-wife”

Zee TV’s popular show Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye is set for a new entry of Pratiksha Honmukhe. After being ousted from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai overnight, she will be seen in the Zee TV drama and the promo for the same is out already.

The show follows the lives of Amruta (Sriti Jha) – a Maharashtrian girl of modest means, a believer in the sanctity of marriage and working on relationships and on the other hand, Virat (Arjit Taneja) – a Delhi-based Punjabi businessman who has lost faith in the institution because he believes most women are inherently gold-diggers. Recently, viewers witnessed Amruta and Virat’s ‘fake’ wedding, where the duo is trying to find the person responsible for leaking their photos in a compromising position. Amruta discovers that the culprit is Virat’s mother, Babita (Kishori Shahane), but Virat refuses to believe it. He is convinced Amruta is accusing his mother purely for financial gains. In his head, she is just as opportunistic and materialistic as his ex-wife Priyanka was. This leads to a series of events where, in a fit of rage, Virat marries Amruta with the intent of teaching her a lesson for life.

The audience is in for surprises galore with the introduction of Pratiksha Honmukhe as Priyanka, making a grand entry on the show. Priyanka, a South Delhi girl who always aspired to marry a wealthy man and live a luxurious life, had chosen her college sweetheart Virat, who possessed more wealth than she could have ever imagined. As the only child, Priyanka was accustomed to getting everything she wanted. The show has already hinted at Virat’s troubled past, mentioning his ex-wife, who was a gold-digger and the cause of his current negative outlook towards women at large. Now, Priyanka’s unexpected return to his life after so many years promises to stir things up. What will happen when she learns about Amruta and Virat’s marriage?

Pratiksha Honmukhe said “I am excited to join the cast of Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye. I am playing the role of Priyanka Bajwa, a South-Delhi girl who lives a very lavish life and is also Virat’s ex-wife. She’s smart in her own way and always gets what she wants. Now with Priyanka back in Virat’s life, it will be interesting to see where the story heads. I have done a few look tests and I really love the outfits the team has put together.
