Aditya Roy Kapur, the dashing actor, has been the talk of the town lately, and it’s not just because of his rumoured relationship with B-town’s young sensation, Ananya Panday. The internet went abuzz when vacation photos of the couple surfaced on various social media platforms, sparking curiosity and excitement among fans. While many know him for his captivating looks and charm, only a few are aware of Aditya’s passion for rock music. Now, it seems like the talented actor is ready to take his love for music to the next level, with plans to venture into singing for Bollywood movies.
In an exclusive interview with News18, Aditya Roy Kapur revealed that he is currently working on an album that might be released soon. Music has always been more than just a hobby for him, and now he’s taking it more seriously. Aditya shared, “I play music and now I’m working on an album that I’ll be hopefully be putting it out soon. I’ve been in the studio, working on that. Music has always been a passion and hobby but I’m pursuing it more seriously now.”
Aditya has been diligently writing and composing songs for years, but until now, he has only shared his musical creations with close friends. However, he now feels the time is right to showcase his talent to a broader audience, including his fans and those who understand and appreciate music.
“I’ve been writing songs and composing stuff over the years for myself and my group of friends. I think it’s time for me to put out the stuff before the world that I’ve made. So, yes, there will be something to share with everyone,” Aditya expressed.
When asked if he had ever been approached to sing for his films due to his passion for music, Aditya revealed, “It has come up as a possibility, but it never quite happened. I’ve discussed that with Mohit (Suri) back in the time during Aashiqui 2. He wanted me to go into the studio just to sing the songs and get that sensation of singing them as a singer would because I was playing a singer in the film.”
The actor further recalled a humorous incident from the recording studio during the making of Aashiqui 2. Aditya shared, “So, I went into the studio and sang the songs of Aashiqui full-on no matter how bad I was sounding. I think they put me on mute on their side of the studio, but I felt like I was singing on my side and got it out of my system.”
While Aditya has tried his hand at singing in the past, he clarified that he hasn’t lent his voice for any film yet. However, the idea of singing for a movie isn’t entirely off the table for the actor. He mentioned, “I haven’t sung in any film but I’m sure it could happen sometime in the future. I believe that be it Hindi or English, singing is singing. But I would like to do a little bit of work on singing in Hindi if I want to do it properly for a film.”
The actor’s passion for music adds a new dimension to his existing career. As fans eagerly anticipate the release of his upcoming album, it’s evident that Aditya Roy Kapur’s artistic pursuits go beyond acting, making him a multi-talented star to watch out for in the entertainment industry.
