Adhyayan Suman recalls landing the Heeramandi role “two days before filming began”; says, “Nobody can snatch…”

Actor Adhyayan Suman is gearing up for his appearance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming period drama series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The series premieres on Netflix on May 1st and features an ensemble cast, including Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman (Adhyayan’s father), and Taha Shah Badussha.

In a recent interview with News 18, Adhyayan revealed a surprising turn of events that led him to the project. He initially auditioned for the role of Zoravar but was rejected. “I was disappointed,” Adhyayan admitted. The situation became even more interesting when he received the audition call.

“I got the call from the casting director while I was celebrating my parents’ anniversary trip in the Himalayas,” he explained. “They told me Mr. Bhansali would be seeing my audition at three that afternoon. Somehow, I managed to stop the car in the mountains and record an audition clip right there.”

Despite his resourcefulness, Adhyayan didn’t secure the role initially. However, fate intervened. “Two days before filming began,” Adhyayan said, “The actor originally cast as Zoravar was let go, and I was brought in.”

Adhyayan credits his father’s advice for maintaining a positive outlook. “‘If something is meant to be, it will be,’ he always tells me,” Adhyayan shared. “Nobody can snatch away what’s destined to happen. It’s just outstanding how it all worked out.”

This turn of events not only landed Adhyayan a role in a highly anticipated series but also offered a unique chance to share the screen with his father, Shekhar Suman.
