Superstar Aamir Khan is currently on sabbatical, but the actor will be soon seen on television in a reality show! Yes, the actor has announced that he will be making an appearance on the small screen and he will be accompanied by his son Junaid Khan. For the unversed, the latter made his film debut with Maharaj. Now we hear that the father-son duo will be sharing screen space for the first time in the ongoing reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan.
In fact, the channel has unveiled a new promo on its official social media handle that has piqued the interest of the users. In this new teaser, Aamir Khan is exiting out of the vanity van and is later, joined by his son Junaid Khan, with the former warning the audiences that they are planning to surprise megastar Amitabh Bachchan on his birthday. The entire episode unfolds with the banner of Kaun Banega Crorepati in the backdrop. The promo features with the caption, “Mahanayak ke janmotsav par hoga kuch khaas! (There is something special brewing on the birthday of the megastar)”.

For the unversed, the birthday of Amitabh Bachchan falls on October 11 and hence, as a tribute to the star, the episode too will be airing on the same day. The promo has garnered much attention mainly because this appearance will mark the debut of Junaid Khan on small screen. Furthermore, audiences are excited to witness the father-son relationship for the first time.
Speaking of the show, KBC 16 airs from Monday to Friday at 9 pm. Interestingly, his film with Rajinikanth titled Vettaiyan, that marks his reunion with the Tamil megastar after three decades, is slated to release around the same date in multiple languages including Hindi.
