A house full for Thank You For Coming at TIFF’s Gala premiere!

Having made a mark at various international film festivals with her path-breaking content, the renowned filmmaker Ektaa R Kapoor has undoubtedly added several groundbreaking films to her repertoire consistently advocating for female-centric cinema. In keeping with her audacious approach, Ektaa is now gearing up for the premiere of her next content-driven film, Thank You For Coming, at the prestigious Toronto Film Festival.

As the Indian theatrical release of their film approaches, the producer duo has several reasons to celebrate. Thank You For Coming stands out as the only Indian selection this year to receive a Gala Premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 15 and 16. An early screening at TIFF has already garnered positive reviews, boosting the confidence of the entire Thank You For Coming team. The anticipation for the Gala Premiere is growing.

Both Gala Premiere screenings at TIFF, hosted at Roy Thomson Hall and Royal Alexandra Theatre, have completely sold out. Audiences are eagerly awaiting this captivating chick flick that humorously explores women’s sensuality. A few select seats will be available at the venue, further highlighting the film’s high demand.

Director Karan Boolani, reflecting on the excitement surrounding the TIFF audience and the upcoming Gala Premiere, expressed, “The response Thank You For Coming is receiving is quite overwhelming for me. It’s an absolute honour to debut at TIFF with your first film, and now that I am here and see the eagerness of people to watch our film, it’s a feeling I can’t even put into words.”

The entire team, including Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, Shibani Bedi, producers Anil Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor, and director Karan Boolani, will be in attendance at the Gala Premiere in Toronto.
