El Salvador officially adopted Bitcoin in September. However, the move by El Salvador has garnered some criticism from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. El Salvador president Nayib Bukele has reportedly forced companies to accept Bitcoin after officially adopting the cryptocurrency as legal tender.
