Ashley Michelle and Manuel Velas have been having trust issues since he moved to America. She feels that he hasn’t been honest with her. However, he was shocked when he found out she had a huge student debt. But it looks like he was also keeping a big secret from his wife.
The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After cast member gave her husband $1,000. Not long later, he asked for more. When she asked what he did with the money, he couldn’t give her an answer. However, she was about to find out the truth.
Ashley asks Manuel again where the $1,ooo she gave him went. He doesn’t answer right away, but she isn’t going to let him get away without giving her an answer. So, he tells her that the money is gone. He adds that it isn’t in the bank and that he used it for “other things.”
Ashley wants to know what Manuel spent the money on. He tells her that he has bills to pay in Ecuador. The TLC star explains that he has debts in his home country. He feels that she is “irresponsible” with her debts. But he isn’t with his. He wants to pay his off.

Ashley Michelle doesn’t understand why Manuel Velas wouldn’t discuss with her that he has credit card debt. She explains that there has never been an eviction note on her door, his cell phone has never been turned off, and she feels that he is “getting thick as all hell” with all the food she is paying for him to eat. So, she doesn’t know why he thinks she is being irresponsible with money.
The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After castmate feels that her husband came to America on a lie. She doesn’t think there is any trust between them. She even says, “There never will be.” They agreed to be honest with each other. So, she doesn’t know why he wouldn’t bring this up to her before.
Manuel explains that he used Ashley’s money to pay off his debts in Ecuador. He adds that if he didn’t, his family back home would have to be responsible for it. He didn’t tell his wife because he didn’t think she would ask.
