On 90 Day Fiance, Justin/Igor’s boozy trip to a bed and breakfast with Nikki Sanders backfires when he reveals he’s been less than faithful. Sophie Sierra gets anxious trying to work up the courage to tell Rob Warne her secret. Newbie Sam Wilson is clean and sober and waits for his fiance Citra to arrive from Indonesia. And Nick Ham puts more than fish in his mouth. Pour some wine and fire up the deep fryer and let’s take a look at Season 10, Episode 9 To Have and To Hold.
90 Day Fiance couple Justin and Nikki Sanders have cleared some major hurdles in Moldova. His friends and family are on board with the relationship. But Nikki feels they just aren’t in sync in the bedroom. Justin takes Nikki on a getaway and suggests they pour some wine and “drunk today”. Nikki is down for this and hopes it will lead to some sexy time.
Justin did show up in the bedroom that night but not till 3 am. She wasn’t thrilled about the pre-dawn surprise smash and found it selfish. She also wants more intimacy. Justin suggests he feels man vibes from Nikki and that hinders his desire. He wants her to “open the woman part” of her. Nikki takes this in stride and even laughs a little. But she wants to know why he won’t make their engagement official on social media. Justin obliges and Nikki Sanders is thrilled.
Justin takes Nikki to a wine tasting on 90 Day Fiance. She gets tipsy and a little explicit amid the PDA. The wine expert suggests it’s TMI. But he’s not that surprised since wine is “nature’s liquid lubricant” after all.
The next day she’s pretty hungover. She wants food and Justin orders up some mystery meat. She questions whether he slept with other women while they were apart. He says he did up until he put a ring on it. Nikki is furious and storms out with Justin following behind her.
On 90 Day Fiance, Sophie Sierra and Rob Warne have patched things up after another bout of his “online cheating”. The couple hit up the local lanes for some bowling with Rob’s pals. After a few strikes and spares, Rob’s friend questions Sophie as to why she goes through his phone.
Sophie Sierra doesn’t hold back and wonders if they know that Rob was hitting up random women on Snapchat for pics and videos and also sexting back. They didn’t know this, and Rob Warne feels attacked.
Later Rob suggests they go ring shopping but on a budget. But before they hit the pawn shop Sophie has something to unload first. She hasn’t told Rob that she’s bisexual. And her friend thinks he deserves to know.
Sophie Sierra prepares to tell Rob but has an anxiety attack. Rob isn’t sure what is going on and makes a mental note to delete his browsing history before she finds something else on his phone. Sophie finally blurts out that she’s bi. And Rob Warne says he doesn’t even know how to respond.
Late to the 90 Day Fiance party this season are Sam Wilson and Citra. He hails from Missouri and she from Indonesia. Sam is clean and sober now. But battled addiction in his past.
He works double shifts for a giant online retailer and sleeps in his car in between. They met online. He was honest about his past and she didn’t judge. Sam admits he likes big butts and he cannot lie. And Citra doesn’t disappoint in that respect either.
The couple did meet in person. Sam traveled to Indonesia and ended up proposing. Now, she’s coming to the U.S. on the K-1 visa. Her dad is very strict. And they are devout Muslims. Citra admits that her father is concerned they will “sin”. In other words consummate their relationship before marriage. So he’ll be traveling with her to chaperone. Sam isn’t sure he can live up to all these new expectations and convert to the strict rules of a new religion.
Ashley Michelle is getting tired of Manuel acting like a man-child. He stormed off into the streets of Rochester after her friends questioned his money motives. Ashley confronts him back at her house.
She explains she’s not trying to control him. But rather fears something bad could happen to him while he wanders. Manuel is annoyed that her friends get into his business. He asks to be left alone to watch his soccer match.
To make amends Ashley takes Manuel for some greasy food on 90 Day Fiance. Manuel admits he’s spent a lot of time on the toilet after being introduced to American food. Over a garbage platter they discuss their wedding and finances.
Manuel is having a hard time grasping how expensive everything is. And is concerned about providing for his family in Peru. Ashley takes him to the shore of a lake and they have a breakthrough while Manuel splashes in the surf like a baby. So, for now the wedding is on.
Nick Ham is taking in the sights, sounds and smells of Searcy, Arkansas. He feels a little out of place but Devin Hoofman’s family is welcoming. Nick is impressed with their large house. But less impressed with the small town and some of its history. But Devin is a good tour guide and explains things carefully. It’s definitely a big difference from living in South Korea.
To make Nick feel at home on 90 Day Fiance, Devin’s family plans a good old fish fry. They invite some good friends and commence to battering and frying in an outdoor contraption. Nick finds the deep-fried delicacy tender and tasty. But when someone asks what South Koreans think of Americans, Nick Ham suggests they are all fat and eat greasy food. Everybody stares at him indignantly with mouthfuls of fried fish.
Nick should’ve probably taken a cue and shoved some more fries in his mouth so he couldn’t speak. But he uses Devin as an example of poor eating habits by suggesting she’s lazy and lunches on fast food.
He also grabs her belly and says “no wonder why your piggy!” This elicits horrified expressions from the cod-eating crowd. Devin is embarrassed and so are her parents. Later they explain to their friends that they do plan to address Nick’s behavior towards Devin. Till next time!
