Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina ditched the family farm and their small apartment and bought their own home in Norfolk, Virginia. They were super excited to have their own place. However, getting it ready became a challenge. After a couple of months, they still had boxes everywhere.

Having her own home means a lot to the 90 Day Fiance reality star. She likes that she has a lot of space outside and inside. She can also do whatever she wants because it is her and her husband’s place.

However, Brandon’s mother, Betty, still comes around a lot even though they have moved two hours away from the family farm.

Brandon Surprises Julia with Christmas Gift

Brandon and Julia are renovating their new home. However, they are struggling to get everything done. They don’t have the money to pay for someone to do the renovations. So, they are doing everything themselves. Yet, they are still struggling financially.

The 90 Day Fiance celebs have a lot to do before his parents, Ron and Betty Gibbs, go to their house for their first Christmas in their new home. They only have two days to make their house look like a home.

Julia and Brandon were able to get their home ready for his parents’ arrival. They had a great time playing games and opening up gifts.

However, Brandon had a big surprise for everyone, even Julia. The TLC star had a special present for his mother. He gives his mother the key to their house for Christmas. He admits that she doesn’t really need a key. But he feels that she should have one.

Betty Gibbs is happy to get a key to her son and daughter-in-law’s house. She finds it “so sweet.”

90 Day Fiance Celeb Mad at Husband for Mother’s Gift

Julia Trubkina was not happy about the surprise. She feels that Brandon Gibbs tricked her. The TLC star explains that he knew it was Christmas and that she wasn’t going to ruin the holiday by getting upset over the key. She thinks he needs to have more boundaries with his mother.

The 90 Day Fiance celeb explains to his mother that she can’t show up whenever she wants. Betty doesn’t understand why they gave her a key when she can only show up when they tell her she can.

Julia starts to get mad and tells her mother-in-law that her husband gave her the key without asking her. She adds that Betty doesn’t need to show up at their house if they aren’t there. She asks her husband why his mother needs a key.

The TLC celeb doesn’t regret giving his mother the key. However, he admits he probably should’ve given it to her privately.
