90 Day Fiance couple Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya have a relationship that looks like it is going downhill. The Last Resort pair’s recent therapy sessions have not gone all that well for the two of them. The clock is ticking, and their days at the resort will soon end. So, if they want to progress, they must step things up. But this may be a challenge after his latest stunt.
Yara is unhappy with Jovi. She feels he lied to her about going to the strip club with guys and embarrassed her in front of the other 90 Day Fiance: The Last Resort cast. So, she decides to have it out with him. She says she feels hurt and betrayed and wants some answers from her husband. He lies at first when she asks him why he told the others not to tell her about their plans.
But his wife is not going to let this slide. She tells Jovi that he was on speaker phone when Ed Brown called Liz Woods, and the women heard everything. He is hungover and tired from the previous night. So, he doesn’t feel like having this conversation. He can see she will not let it go, so he tries to save his neck.
The 90 Day Fiance star knows that if he wants to end this conversation, he needs to act fast. He decides there is not much he can do. The damage is done. So he tells Yara he and the guys only wanted to have fun. Also, Asuelu Pulaa had never been to this type of club and wanted the experience. So, of course, he felt obligated to help a friend out.
This is not a new issue for Yara Zaya and Jovi Dufren. His “obsession” with this form of adult entertainment has plagued their relationship from the start. She doesn’t understand why he would put their relationship at risk. He knows how she feels about this subject. She has been very clear about it in the past.
The 90 Day Fiance husband can tell it will take more to calm his wife down. So, he takes this opportunity to make himself look like the better man and throws the others under the bus. He tells his wife that he is the only man in the club who does not touch or interact with any of the dancers. He says he just sat there, enjoyed his drink, and had a good time.
Jovi is not sure his wife is buying his story, so he gets more detailed. He tells her if she had seen what Ed and Asuelu were doing, then she would understand that he was an angel in comparison. Yara Zaya listens to her spouse’s story but doesn’t buy into his excuses. She goes off and tells him she knows it was his idea to go out. So, she gets upset and starts to cry because she can’t understand his obsession with the exotic dancers.
Yara is angry with Jovi. But he says he is used to dealing with this. During his confessional, he says he knew his wife would be upset with him going into this venture. This is why he chose to keep it from her. He also feels like she is taking out her insecurities on him. Of course, he feels she is making it a bigger deal than it needs to be.
He is over Yara’s inquisition. He tells her he has a headache and asks her to shut up. When the blonde beauty refuses to drop the subject, he gets annoyed and leaves the room to escape. He says he is not ready to deal with this. This argument will likely set them back even further in their therapy progress.
During a previous episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Last Resort, Jovi Dufren commented that not all couples going into this therapy retreat would end in a good place. TLC viewers saw Molly Hopkins and Kelly Brown self-destruct.
Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa are not far behind. But now Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya look to be teetering on the edge of a potential breakup, too. They are running out of time. Hopefully, their next 90 Day Fiance therapy session can put them back on the right path.
