90 Day Fiance: Patrick Mendes Gets To-Do List from Dad

Patrick Mendes is in Brazil with Thais Ramone and their daughter, Aleesi. They are in town to have everyone meet Aleesi and celebrate her birthday. While in the country, they are staying at a condo he and his father, Jose, condo. However, the TLC celeb pays all the bills for the place.

The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After cast member’s father comes over the same night they arrive in Brazil. He is happy to finally meet his granddaughter in person for the first time. However, his visit wasn’t just to see the little one. He shows up with a bucket of paint and tells his son that he must paint the condo while in town.

Patrick doesn’t mind helping out his father. However, he is recovering from an injury. So, moving around and painting isn’t going to be easy. But he agrees to do it. Yet, his wife, Thais, isn’t happy that her father-in-law is giving them chores when they are only here for a short time and already have a lot to do.

Patrick’s Family Feels He’s Being Used

Patrick meets his brother John McManus, who is also in Brazil for the birthday celebration. He tells his brother that his father showed up at the condo to meet Aleesi. He also tells him that he came with a big pail of paint and told him to paint the condo.

The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After castmate tells his brother that Thais got mad because he came over and gave them a list of things to do. She feels that his father asks a lot from him. John says, “You are his income and his bread and butter.” He answers, “I guess.”

For the first time in his life, John agrees with Thais. He explains that Jose wasn’t a nice person growing up. So, he tells Patrick that his father might be using him. He adds, “He’s not the best father.”

Patrick Mendes doesn’t deny that Jose wasn’t a good father. However, he isn’t going to hold anything against anyone forever. He doesn’t judge him for any mistakes he made in the past. He just wants a relationship with his dad.

However, many 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After viewers agree with Thai Ramone and John McManus. They feel that Patrick’s father is using him. One person feels that he “needs to stop being a doormat.” Another person believes that he needs to learn “how to set boundaries with this father.” A person even thinks he is being a pushover” when it comes to his father. Will he be able to stand up to his dad?
