90 Day Fiance cast member Ashley Michelle has her work cut out to make things work with Manuel. They are different from your average couple, so there is a lot to unpack when getting to know them. Even though they have known each other for many years, there is a lot that she has not yet told him about her.
Once Manuel finally arrived at the airport from Ecuador, his 90 Day Fiance partner, Ashley, breathed a sigh of relief. It is an emotional moment for her. He is thrilled to see her and begins to show her with compliments. But that only lasts for a while. She is excited to see him and welcome him into her home. However, the minute he walks through the door of her house, things begin to change.
Ashley is nervous about Manuel learning about her witchy side. She wants to introduce him in tiny steps because she feels it may freak him out at first. But his personality drastically changes when they get to her house. He starts to complain about the things he feels are unnecessary. For example, hot running water inside the home.
The 90 Day Fiance star quickly notices her pets. She has a small dog and a black cat. Manuel is not into pets. He believes they need to be fed and serve no purpose. This will be a massive problem for the pair, especially when he finds out she allows the pets to run free of the house. He is also one hundred percent against animals in the bedroom.
Ashley Michelle tries to stay patient with him. She understands everything is new for him, but she will only take so much before she stands up to him. The 90 Day Fiance couple has so much to learn about each other. He continues to make comments about the animals and her home. But, she is set in her ways. Her pets have been with her for a long time and have helped her through many tough times.
She finally tells Manuel they have a problem with her dog, Rico Suave. He explains that he is unaccustomed to allowing animals in the house. Ashley next tells him that he is unaccustomed to many things that he must adapt to. She understands that he is used to telling people what to do in his culture, namely women. However, she comes from many independent women, so this will not work for her.
The 90 Day Fiance New York native gets emotional when explaining how much Rico means to her. He can see that the two of them will have a lot of issues to work out before they get married. During his confessional, he says that she must learn that if this relationship is to work, she will not be the only one making decisions.
Ashley Michelle’s head is beginning to fill with doubt. She is concerned. If they have this many issues just hours after his arrival, how will he handle her telling him she is a witch? This is not going to be an easy subject to bring up. But there is more. She will find out soon that Manuel has also been keeping a few important things from her.
She says that Manuel of 90 Day Fiance has always been secretive. He has an entire life that she knows very little about. For instance, he has two teenage children in Ecuador. She is unsure if he has even told his children about her. Especially after she finds out that he bailed on his family to come to the United States without even saying goodbye.
This is a huge red flag for Ashley and her family members. So far, he is not making a good impression on them or with TLC viewers. On the next 90 Day Fiance episode, she will attempt to explain her spirituality and witchy side to him. At first, it won’t be easy. This is because he has a set image in his mind of what a witch is, and their definitions are not even a close match.
The 90 Day Fiance star Ashley Michelle says she needs Manuel to know and understand that witchcraft, for her, is a deep spiritual connection and her job. She will do her best to educate him on the subject and hope he will keep an open mind. These two have a long way to go. So much depends on how honest and accepting they can learn to be with each other.
